Fine Arts Portrait, Project 10 pre-work
A fine portrait is a image of someone in super high quality and clarity. It take specific details from someone and brightens it up and creates smooth edges. They're are a lot of key components towards this method such as background and such.
Two examples of portraits:
Portrait by Annie Leibovitz
Steve McCurry
I liked both of these portraits because they both show an immense amount of detail of the people in the photos, and there are stories hidden behind it.
Commercial Portrait: A commercial portrait is a portrait that is made to want to convey a theme or a story. This is a method of taking a portrait of a business person as example with a nice background of an office and promoting what ever work needs to be promoted to the public.
Jeffrey Salter
I liked both of these commercial portraits/magazine covers because they are very serious and put a very compelling story out and it shows the professional work and time that went into creating these.
Fine Art vs Commercial:
Fine art
Commercial
Both of these portraits are of the same person, but they're very different in specific ways, the fine art is more of a fun way of taking a portrait image of some one because it looks like they're sketched and there are multiple of the same image in different colors. The commercial is colorful but it's closer to the real image and isn't edited that much.
